Steve Fraser, winner of the Gold Medal in Greco Roman wrestling at the 1984 Los Angeles
Olympics, marking the first victory in that sport for the U.S. He also earned a gold medal
at the 1983 Pan American Games and was the national freestyle champion in 1984.
Named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Year in 1984 Subsequently, he excelled as the coach of
the U.S. Greco Roman wrestling team from 1997 to 2014, influencing the success of Rulon Gardner,
the gold medalist in 2000. Fraser was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1994
and the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.

With a nine year stint leading the Junior National Team and 12 years as the Senior
National Team coach. He held roles as Freestyle head coach for three years and
currently serves as the Women's Wrestling National team coach. Throughout his career,
his teams achieved seven Olympic Medals, 30 Junior World Championships, and 25 Senior
World Championships. Filiberto, with a Master's in Wrestling Science from Manuel
Fajardo University, Havana, Cuba.

Abel Hernández Cortés, a renowned Olympic Wrestling Coach,
spent 25 years shaping athletes at the Mexican Olympic Sports
Center. His coaching led to success in international competitions,
including the Pan American Games and the Olympics. He passed away on
December 27, 2020, during the Sars Covid 19 pandemic, leaving behind
a legacy as a respected friend and coach. In 2019, a championship in
Guadalajara was named in his honor, and in 2022, he was posthumously
inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Association of Associated Wrestling.

In both the 1988 and 1992 Olympics, she made history as the first woman referee
to achieve this distinction. Her groundbreaking achievements extended to the

Wrestling Hall of Fame (NWHOF) in 1995.

Eduardo Pérez Téllez is a prominent leader in the world of wrestling. He has served as a
coach for all age groups, a national referee of the highest rank, and the president of the
Cuban Wrestling Federation. Currently, he holds the position of Chief of the Technical
Department at INDER and has executive roles in CPLA and UWWA. Recognized with the
FILA Golden Star and the UWWA Golden Boot, he has received national awards for his
research in wrestling. In addition, he provides international consultancy and actively
participates in multidisciplinary events. His career is distinguished by his dedication to
the development of the sport and his impact at both national and international levels.

At 74 years old, he is a prominent figure in Olympic wrestling. Starting his athletic career
at age 15 in 1962, he has participated in over 12 events, including the Olympics and Pan
American Games. Since 1974, he has been a coach, rising to the position of Head Coach in
1987. His significant contributions to Dominican Olympic wrestling stand out in Central
American and Pan American Games, as well as two Olympic Games (Barcelona 1992 and
Athens 2004). He has held key roles in the Dominican Wrestling Federation since 1962,
currently serving as the Secretary General. His impact spans from the first medal in the
1974 Central American and Caribbean Games to the present day.
